Enders Reservoir State Recreation Are -Just south of Imperial on Hwy 6 and 61, a 1,707 acre lake sits.
Boating, fishing, swimming and camping both primitive and electrical year-round. This lake offers secluded area, with plenty of fish, including white bass, crappie and walleye. Hunting during season. Modern restrooms, accessible shower building, fish cleaning station and dump station. Open Memorial Day-Labor Day.
It also caters to the campers with camping areas, boat ramps, and a Wildlife Refuge. Park permit required. Camping fees. 308-394-5118

Lake Hayes--Northeast of Hayes Center, this 50 acre lake provides crappie, pike and catfish. It is also ideal for those looking for a rustic camping experience.

Rock Creek State Recreation Area -- 4 mi. N.W. of Park, NE . Open year-round. Boating, fishing and camping areas. Camping fee. Park permit required. 308-394-5118 Between Benkelman and Haigler. This prairie lake provides rainbow trout, along with largemouth bass, bluegill, northern pike, walleye, catfish, and the tiger muskie.

Swanson Reservoir State Recreation Area -- 3 mi. W. of Trenton on US Hwy 34 - A major flood-control reservoir on the Republican River provides fishing. This lake produces trophy-size northern pike along with walleye, crappie,and black bass. It is also large enough for jet-skiing and and other water-related activities. Open 24 hrs/day May 5-Oct 1. Park permit required. Camping fees. Partially handicapped accessible. 308-276-2671.
